Couldn't haven spent my day better.

LOL yesteday went to Singapore again. But this time.. with my buddies! First time 4 of us went out.

CJ

Jia En

Woon Ann

me

At 8am, CJ and me walked to WoonAnn's house. We definitely shouldn't have walked. It was like walking back and forth to school. Nonetheless, we hopped onto his father's car and set off. JAM JAM JAM. Good thing is Mr Sia senior sent us all the way to Bugis. So it'll be a short ride to Vivo. CJ and me had breakfast. The other two didn't. After that, went to MRT station. I had my ezlink card so it was no worries for me. The other three had to play with the machine and get card to aboard the MRT.

Reached Vivo at about 11pm. Kinda early. Went to Golden Village and checked for time schedule. Decided on UP. 3D Baby!!!!! But the time for the movie was 12.20pm. So we got plenty of time to walk around. Little did we know... we got lost. a few times.

Well first, Vivo is big. No kidding. I've been to it two days ago and actually discovered new places in it. LOL. We walked. walked. walked. and walked. Sports wear... book shop... Toys 'r' us... And it was already 12.20pm. I wanted to get some snacks but I figured I didn't have the time to crunch on popcorn while watching 3D. So I didn't. Got some cool 3D shades..

The side thing hurt my ear quite a bit. It's like cutting into my flesh?.. yea something like that.

And CJ discussed about the shades being blue and red only. LOL.

Ok here's my review :

Nice music. Nice for the first 15 minutes. From the flying house till he fought the other old man in the blimp. BORING. I practically closed my eyes for 5 minutes. For me. 3 out of 10. Actually 2.7. It's the kind of movie that I would not watch again. 3D really made my eye hurt. Like constant strain on my eyes for 1 ++ hours. For animated movie like Up, I'd rather 2D.

Then Jia En bought Rubik's cube 5x5x5 and 360. the 360 looks like a baby's toy and I have no idea what it does. I bought a pouch for me iPod! Struggled whether to have lunch here or at Orchard. We decided to do it in Orchard cause we could not find the foo court we came across. So we walked and for some reason we reached the foodcourt again. It's now or never. We had lunch there.

Moved on to Orchard. ION!!!

So this is the first thing you see after you got off the MRT station. Well you can NEVER see this in Malaysia. We kept on repeating this line and compared sg to msia. LOL. Jia En thought that there really was water above this glass. LOL. We told to becareflu in case the water pressure gets to high and it may collapse. haha.

This had to be my favourite pic. Out of nowhere, I asked everyone to look to the left and I snapped this one right before the lift opens. It was like * Look left everyone!* * Snap* * Lift opens*. Pure ingenious.

Walked around for about 2 hours... At first all we saw was LV, Cartier, Burberry, all not our thing. Then we went to B3 and finally saw something buyable. Though I did not bought anything. Just because I can doesn't mean I should.

Head to Sembawang. My mom's fetching us home.

Posing with Iron Man. I didn't think he knows that.

Sun Plaza. Had chess waffles. Was very dissapointed to see that its a waffle with a slice of chess in between. The first 5 bites were tasteless. Except for the taste of the waffle itself. Continued to library. Woon Ann and Jia En.. and me got told off by a woman because we were whispering too loud. But I can tell you that her scolding was louder than any voice in the library. Shame on you lady! I borrowed Ju-On. Don't ask why, cause I don't know myelf. Had cheese meat balls.

Head home. Home sweet home.

In conclusion : Best outing in 2009 so far, definitely will do it again.

PS : for those who didn't came, you're totally missing out.

Gibberish

Once again. I went to Singapore. This time with my bro though. Too bad he went to my uncle's while I, as usual, spent my whole day alone in the red dot. Alone yes, but lonely not really, fun? Hell yea!

Arrived at Plaza Sg first thing in the morning. Had cream puff. I must have it everytime I go sg. You know... there are things that you have to do in life. And the cream puff is one of them. They're just ... uhhh.... ohhhh... (no words to describe.) After that I.. er... yea. I watched The Proposal. Not too bad. Though I thought it would be at least funny. It's not. Just a tiny wee bit.

And yea I would so love to watch this!!!!! Year One starrs Jack Black and MICHAEL CERA!!!! I totally love Michael Cera's style of acting. I first saw him from Superbad and couldn't get enough of him. Folgo is in it too! ( Folgo's in Superbad too.) Then bought clothes.. bookshop bla bla.

Sure wished that I would have the patience to finish this book about John Lennon. only 20SGD. Not for me though. Moved on to vivocity!

Vivo's super big. ( Laughs at so called 'big' tebrau city.) Tons of shops. Mainly shoes. clothing. and more shoes. I saw this shop. I really really like the title. Too bad it sells clothes, not cards. Hm. Had my lunch there. And bought a book, Expert at the Card Table by Erdnase. OMG this is like dream come true. It's like Twilight to novel lovers, Adidas to sportwears lovers, Porsche for rich people, simple A MUST HAVE!!!!!

Then went to Magic Hall. Arrived at Orchard MRT station. When I got out, I was looking at this.
Wow. its ION!!!!!! The newly built shopping complex in Orchard. And the picture I took above was only a quarter of it. Though I didn't spent much time there. Went on to the Magic Hall. Lost my way, tried to walk it out. Failed. Tried again. Failed. Asked for directions. That girl told me to go back to Somerset and walk from there. Grr.. and so I did. Reached.

This is only like 10% of what I was seeing in the shop. You see the card decks? Those are my dreams. If anyone could get me those, I would marry them. Bought 3 altogether. Rushed back to Somerset. My mum's meeting me at 6pm. It's already 5.30pm. Lost my way again. Then kept on walking. Saw Takashimaya. Found myself at Orchard once more. Shit, I walked through one whole bloody station. Got back a lil late.
THE END.

Longwinded-ness

Well well well. Finally exam's over. I don't know why, but everyone seemed so tensed this time round. And of course I struggled through these few days and I'm glad that it's all over. The hardest subject I would say is no doubt Chinese. All I can say is that En. Chng sets good questions and probably killed all the As'. At least mine it is I think. I hope not.

Nonetheless I have some good news and some bad news.

Good news is, I now have two favourite bands! Bad news is, they're now two bands because they split up. Ah bummer. What did Panic had to fall apart???????????????

In July 2009, Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left Panic at the disco. They formed a new band - The Young Veins. And I really really love their music! It's like alternative and a bit of country and most of all, very beatle-ish!

And so Brendon and Spencer are now on their own. They were formerly called Panic! At The Disco, but they changed it into Panic At The Disco in 2008. Though now, they're once again Panic! At The Disco. Ian Crawford from The Cab and Dallon Weekes from The Brobecks ( whoever they are) are filling in for Ryan and Jon on their tour.

The song you're listening to now is New Perspective by Panic!. Of course I love it but I think they're songs now lack originality. They just sound like some fusion of fall out boy and boys like girls, I mean I really missed they're musical genre and style of play.

After this is Change, by The Young Veins. I know.. wow. really different from Panic!. But I can still imagine that the song really would sound like Panic if the two bands reunited. Oh so sad. Anyway, really looking forward to their new albums. I heard Panic!'s coming out in early 2010. Still great people, great music.

This time exam die die die.

Read the title. It's not just a title. It's the future.

I practically haven't started studying.

I've been busy doing :

1. Training for grading. And I failed. Bummer. Oh well.

2. Notice board Carta Organisasi. Done.

3. Chess competition. This sunday.

4. Demo. Next saturday. Actually haven't started anything yet. I'm so dead.

Ah failed my grading. Sensei said we will still remain as brown belts. But does it mean anything if you hold a brown belt but failed the test??

Anyways I'm not sad or anything. Dissapointed? of course. It's EXACTLY the same feeling when I didn't get a place in a chess tournament. So in other words, I've gotten used to it. It's like the feeling where you don't plan to gain anything but until the result came out, there's still this slim but significant hope. And after that you realise that how unnessecary and useless it is to hope.

Later I asked Sensei when is the next grading. LOL he said 'Whenever you're ready * Pat on the shoulder *' It's like a typical thing that a sensei would do. Like when you ask ' How do I get good?' All those great masters tend to give sensei-ish answers like ' You shall seek wisdom that exist in knowing that you know nothing...' instead of just ' practice hard lah.. ' Oh well. Beter try next time.

And I'm going to enjoy this feeling again this Sunday. Hm.. at least someone would share it with me. LOL.

Climate change?

I kinda missed out this one for my last post. After training about 10pm, I was exhausted. Of course I went for a 100 plus. Dang, it was all ICE when I opened it. Like 100 plus popsicle. How could I be so stupid not to notice it in the first place?? I tried to suck everyone drop out of it and eventually gave up.

Anyways, stayed thristy for the next 30 minutes. Went home. First thing I did was rush to the kitchen and get myself a fully iced drink. Got the drink, went to the fridge. To my horror, NO ICE!!!!!!!!! WTH. only a few miserable pieces, other's still liquid. I can't believe it. FREAKIN' ROTTEN LUCK.

Jiyu Waza

I'm suppose to wake up at 7.30am for basketball but I did it one hour later. Ah nevertheless I got down there and had lots of perspire and maybe some fun. LOL surprise guest. Jiamin was there, rare. Almost never.

Then um went for training at 2.30pm at Perling Dojo. Finally got my Dai-Ikkyo to Dai-Gokyo Yokomen Uchi and Ushiro Dori done. Went to Molek Dojo afterwards. Train somemore. Awfully tired. and went back to Perling Dojo and train somemore. Everyone was training very hard for the upcoming grading in like an hour or so. Finally, it's time.

White belt done quite fast. And sensei told us that brown belt syllabus isn't that easy to pass. And he gave another chance to practice and delayed the grading till the coming thursday. So in other words, we would all fail if we continued then. Ah what a bummer, still we had a spot test and all of our mistakes were pointed out. Only then I know that I'm freaking lousy and simple weak. Gotta train more.

Of course went back home after that. Was already 10.30pm. So 8 hours of training. Had no dinner. Only one miserable bun. Also meant that a shirt soaking in sweat for 8 hours. So yea ew, shower. ate. blogged.

So gonna think about the upcoming demo for school on 18 Aug. Omg. Exam, Grading, Demo, Chess comp, Petroscience thing, ah it feels like last year.. how I miss the adrenalin of busyness. Not.
