We are closer to 2012

Yesternight was the last night of 2009. Though I was out partying, I didn't had time to blog. Thanks vanessa for the countdown party. It was fun. =) Nevertheless, this'll be my first blog post in 2010.

2009 was a crazy year for me. So much happened. The crazy thing is that all of them worked out fine in the end. Indeed I appreciate all these small miracles in life. I had my first iPod. I got a replacement phone. Finally. I've made many new friends. Especially in the last two months. I took up accounts, I dropped accounts. I had my first tuition. I started training Aikido. I took my card magic to a whole new level. I owned many card decks. I finally own a spot in MSSD chess. I started playing facebook. I youtube. I went to Taiwan. I made my debut video.

Now that it came to an end, I kinda missed it. The adrenaline, the busy-ness, and be able to enjoy it at the same time. Though now it brings us to 2010, I kept thinking about what other crazed events that might happen this year. And honest speaking I do not look forward to it.

Jan 4, yea everyone knows what date that is. I've no preparation whatsoever. The only thing that I look forward in school is my new and old friends. It'll be da BOMB.

Ok I'm not good in writing long stuff. And sure enough I've come up with a list of the top 5 biggest happenings in 2009. The following are in random order.

5. MJ kicked the bucket. RIP and long live the king. Fave song : Black or white. =)

4. Panic at the disco split up!!! Now it's Panic! At The Disco and The Young Veins. I love 'em both. Who says that I can't have two favourite bands?

3. I realise that Tally Ho decks are actually really good! I used to throw them around and even brought them to school. One of them even got confiscated on the last day of PMR in 2008. Now I treat them very well. LOL.

4. I now own an iPod. This brought me to download videos, which leads to watching Step Up 2, followed by watching Jabbawockeez performance videos. They're a dance crew by the way. Jabba rules!

5. I realise what it means to study. Up till form 3, it's all child's play. The books are so thin, and most of the question are objective. Smartwork and the time was definitely more important than hardwork. But. Form 4 is a major changing point in my life. There's no tikam or agak agak. Try guessing all the answers when all you see is a blank piece of paper? Hah. Bet not. Though this allows me to enjoy the satisfaction of getting good results after that.

2010 will be a rough year. You don't need to be a magician to know that. Still, I truly believe in that for every bad thing that happens, there will be a good one as well. Everything is in balance and equilibrium. All we have to do is just to REALISE that fact. Life's good. Considering that I've not tried death.

Good luck people. =)

Eyecandy > iCandy

Okay I'm done editing my 2nd video! The name iCandy derived from the word eyecandy which is what it is. It's just a small effect that I apply to my sandwich routines. Though I hope you guys appreciate it. Every great idea starts off with a small spark!

I filmed this while I was Taiwan. It was day 1 in Taipei. I decided to film a short clip every night. So I have 7 clips altogether. Most of which are my original ideas. =) Of course there probably would be someone who had done the same thing before me. Anyway, I'll try to get them done and uploaded as soon as possible. But day 7's clip was too crappy, personally I like the effect very much but was too tired that night to perfect it. It took more than 100 takes, eventually I gave up. Well not gave up la.. but I settled with the one with minimal flaws.

I probably won't upload that. Maybe I'll remake it. Still, I have the raw clip. If anyone wants to view it, will be glad to share. Either ways, here's iCandy. Enjoy.

Any comments are welcomed. I know you guys are supportive and I thank you for that. Still, good job, great work, awesome, those doesn't make me better! So for every compliment please be kind enough to state a flaw as well which I will improve on. Don't go soft =) Cheers.

what?!

The following blog post might be misinterpreted as offensive and disrespectful. Still, I have a lot to say and for those who don't know me, read this and you'll know what's going on inside of my head. Alright it's going to be long, patience.

Ok it was yesterday. Eve as we know. I was at a friend's church to see their presentation. It's basically a drama, with good music, live band, singing, kinda like a musical. And everything's cool, until. One of the guys told us that Jesus loves all of us, He cares for all of us and is constantly thinking of us. And then, he said 'I want you all to close your eyes, and on the count of 3, I would like you to raise your right hand up and then down immediately.' Okay notice the word 'want'. It's an ordering sentence. He wants us (including me) to do what he says. I was like yea sure why not. And as a participating audience, I did.

Then, the guy asked all of those who raised their hand to come forth to the front of the stage. I was a bit unsure but my friend told me they were only going to pray for us. And inside my head, I thought it would be something like 'I wish you all good luck good love good life and god bless.' Or something like that. And so I did. Now this old guy hands me a form. WHAT?!! I was thinking. What? Am I signing up for something? What is going on? There wasn't many of us in front of the stage. 5 or 6 perhaps. And under those circumstances I kinda had to fill the form. Right before I did anything, I asked the old man 'What do it mean if I filled the form?' in chinese. He said to me that I would then be accepting Christ. Now here's the REAL problem. The word. ACCEPT. To me, and maybe only to me, accept means a bit like to allow the existence of something, to accept it la. So I was figuring ' yea I do accept Christ, if I do not accept Christianity, I wouldn't be here today would I?' The form was filled. And the guy asked us to repeat after him. I don't know what he was going to say. All I did was merely repeating his words. That couldn't hurt. And so I did. After that everyone was shaking hands and I got a few booklets and got back to my seat.

The first thing I asked my friend. 'So does this means that I'm now christian?'. She was between yes and not sure. She's new as well. Okay nevermind, I asked my other friend, who is considered a more senior christian. She asked me back 'Did you repeat the guys words just now?'. I was like yea of course, he asked me to. She said that in the case I am.

OKAY STOP. WHAT ?! WHAT.

I feel that this is not right and I'm not happy about it. I know that this isn't a serious matter, cause what matters is your beliefs. But now procedure-wise. I am a christian? Okay it's not that I don't like christianity or anything. I respect all religions and my comment had nothing to do with it. It's how the people did things.

1st. That guy ASKED us to raise hand.
2nd. He ASKED us to go down to the stage.
3rd. I was ASKED to fill the form.
4th. He ASKED us to repeat after him.

What is going on?!! What is this?! Honestly I was feeling a bit deceived. I mean just look, if you carefully think, in a way, that guy is ORDERING us to become a christian?!

Example :
A : you put your right hand in.
B : Okay...
A : you put your right hand out.
B : Okay...
A : you put your left foot in.
B : Okay...
A: and you shake it all around.
B : Okay...
A : you just did the hokey pokey.
B : I DID WHAT?!

I hope you guys understand what I'm feeling. I was told to get myself into a situation where I don't even know it's happening? And after that THEN I know the truth. How can this be right?!

But I think the real problem lies with the word ACCEPT. To me accept and believe is two different words with different meanings. Later then I found out that in a christian's term, accepting Christ means believing Christ. Which makes you a believer, a christian. But I am an outsider. How was I suppose to know that?! In my opinion, I accept Christ, but that doesn't mean I believe in Christ. Please at all times remember that this has nothing to do with Christian, in this case, it's a misunderstanding of words.

Example: You wanna buy a car, that price is 50k. The guy asks you 'Do you accept the price?'. In my head I would think 'Hm 50K is reasonable.. ok I accept the price.' But then that doesn't mean I have to buy that car right?!

I didn't know that they can actually mean the same thing, and honestly as an outsider or you would call it a non-believer. I couldn't have possibly know that. Maybe I'm being a bit ignorant right now, but why wouldn't they just say, FILL THIS FORM AND YOU ARE NOW A CHRISTIAN. I mean everyone can understand this, its clear, straightforward. Accept? In this case isn't this a confusing word? And this caused me to misjudge.

In my opinion, religion is not a joking matter. It changes your lifestyle, your beliefs, your habits. Basically your LIFE. And that is also a reason I consider myself a free thinker. Because I feel that I don't fit to be in any religion. I don't qualify be in a religion. Why? I lack belief. For me, it's very hard to fully believe in a religion because I simply listen to all the stories but never got any real and hard facts. Therefore if I can't fully believe in it then it is not right to label myself as a believer in any religion. Still, I do believe in a GOD and its creations.

Okay please please remember that the blog post above is my comment on how the people did things. Not about the religion. I have no prejudice against christianity. I respect all the others as well. I do accept all the religions but again, doesn't mean I believe in them.

Peace.

Analysis

Ok the poll that I put up about a month ago received some very interesting feedbacks.

The question is IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU COULD DO TO ME, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Alrite let's take a look at what I've got. Hm. 12 people wants to pinch my face. Ok now that's odd. It's not like I'm very fair or have good complexion. I suppose all of those voted for that are girls? I mean if you're a guy, You're kinda creepy. Stay away from me. Anyways the question starts with IF. So guess you people won't have the chance to do so.

9 people wants to kick my ass. haha. This is really amusing. Of all the choices why would you wanna kick my ass? Did it did something wrong? Or did you guys just picked for fun. Either ways, give me warning before you do anything of a such.

7 people wants to slap me and/or superglue my mouth. Actually at first I thought that this (superglue) would be the winner. Slapping people is kinda serious. But I can understand that sometimes there is a need to slap sarcastic people. LOL. And um superglue my mouth. Maybe I talk too much or is it the way I talk? I think both.

5 people wants to hug me. I'm no teddy bear. So you won't get the luxury of doing that as well unless you buy me about 10 deck of cards, or you somehow save my life, or if you turn yourself into a teddy bear. That would work. Modern day surgery LOL?

4 people wants to stab me with a knife. Ok... just try not to backstab me la. Do it in front. And you can see the blood flowing out when I die in front of your eyessssssssssssssssssssss. o.0

3 people wants to rip my heart out. Right now I'm confused. Is that a compliment or just pure hardcore violence? So is that you like my heart a lot? Or do you want to have my heart? Or do you just hate me for being alive?

1 people want to hold my hand, punch me and/or dig my eyes out. If you wanna hold my hand, I'll do it either because a dare, during aikido training, or you could just sing or play 'I wanna hold you hand'. The whole song. Punch me? We shall meet at training then. Dig my eyes out? JEALOUS? LOL

Gah boredom

It's the holidays yay but booo... I have no life!

There's so much to do that are good for me, but I just can't bring myself to enjoy doing them. I know I know sometimes it's about what's good for me, and not about fun or anything. But still, I strongly believe in that if there is no fun I'd rather not live. So... guess I'll have to find the funness out of read newspaper, books, cleaning my room etc.

Ish, so bored. I'm dying. On the inside. Maybe I should just cut myself and bleed a lot. And then I'll faint. And I'll spend some time in the hospital. Sounds good =). Seriously what the hell am I talking about, can you see what has boredom done to me!! It screws up my brain. Can't think straight. Ugh...

I'm like a cavemen stuck in my house. Lifelessness. Boredom is like a death-eater. Sucking the life out of me. Ok, I'm going to find a purpose. See ya. =)

Word-of-the-day : Dope. Like I know what is means.

Loner's trip. Again.

Went to sg once more. It was just I, me and myself. First thing I wanna voice out is that I don't know why people is willing to go to cs or tebrau and is unwilling to go sg. The only difference I see is a custom and a different currency. People really have to change their mindset and stop living in their little worlds and be contented with it. They don't know what they're missing. Even if it's just our neighbour country, you'll see many new things that you won't find in ours. And of course there are those who complaints about safety bla bla bla, well sg is more safer than msia. No questions asked. If you're a girl, I can understand that you will need more people to go with you, but that's just a condition to fulfil, not a limiting factor! And if I seem frustrated, I'm not. =)

Anyways. followed my mum to sg. Journey started at about 6.30am. Yes I know it's wayyyy to early but it saves on the trouble to take the bus on my own. Reached and had breakfast. Kinda rare to find a SGD2.50 prawn noodle nowadays. After that I was on my own. Took a bus to Yishun MRT station. What I had in mind was to watch two movies but I had no idea where to go. After lil consideration, Shaw house seemed reasonable.

Went there but I could only purchase tickets from 10am. It was only 9 then... Well, looked around and went to Wheelock Place's Borders to waste some time. Saw some interesting books, bought nothing. Lingered around for a while. And woots it's time for New Moon, 10.30am to 12.40pm then 2012 1pm to 3.40pm.

Ok, New moon sucks. It's boring, lame, unexiciting. The only good thing is the hot guys and girls. Well actually Bella ain't hot. at all. 2012 on the hands is awesome! Has to be the most impressive movie I've seen in 2009. 9.5 out of 10! Oh yea for new moon, just 4. I think 2012 is a great movie (to me) is not because of the fact of the awesome graphics and acting but because it connects to the everyone watching as there is such conspiracy. So is it real ? Is the end near? Could the US government really be building arks? I think not, because the director would then be revealing top US government secret, which means that he'd probably be killed, which he isn't, which makes it untrue, which makes my assumption crap, which means that you shouldn't be wasting time reading this, which means that I shouldn't waste time typing this in the first place. .... Point is , it was a great movie.

Oh yea in between the movie I had my first Subway sandwich! Though I screwed it up, ended up with only cheese, bacon and onions. What to do? I DO IT AGAIN. LOL. Right after 2012, I got to the same place and this time tried to order carefully. Well it was better than the one before, it had cheese, tuna, bacon, chipotle sauce, pickles. Yum.

After that... um yea went to 303@Somerset (a shopping mall) which just opened 2 days ago. Heard there was a sale at Uniqlo and decided to take a look. Had to queue to get it, it had to be something good waiting. I got it, and wow it was all japanese style trendy clothings. Red jeans, green sweater etc. Don't get to see this everyday yea. Wasted 40 mins there and bought myself a grey sweater. Weird pic of the day =)

I also wanted to get a green one. Seemed theatrical. But I didn't.
Quickly rode mrt to Dhoby Gaut to have a Cream puff! It's becoming an addiction cause I always have it everytime to sg. Nah it's just a habit. Though I always get lost and I tend to find ways of my own. Still I get myself where I want in the end.
Mrt-ed back to Sembawang. Wooh. Tiring day. Busted.

I forgot about the girls! (and guys!)

Thank you cl for reminding me that what you guys want to see are not comments on delicacies or hot springs but GIRLS!

Hm ok let me put it this way. Taiwanese girls are prettier than Malaysian girls. Wait no.. it's Taiwanese girls are averagely prettier than Malaysian girls. Yeap. It's true. To me it is. Probably because of the fact that 90% of them wear make up. But Malaysian girls are potentially prettier than Taiwanese girls. But the potential is just this bit. Like this bit.

From a rating from 0 - 10, Taiwanese girls score about 4-8. Which means all of them are quite ok. But Malaysians girls 0-9. Some of them can be much prettier while others um...aren't. Of course there are a few real pretty ones I saw in Taiwan. A few. I wonder how would all the Malaysian girls feel if they went to Taiwan. Envy? Jealous? I think both. LOL.

Ok now I realise this might be getting on the girls' nerve but girls, face it. Anyway switching topic, now comments on the guys. Tawainese guys are generally better looking than Malaysian guys. Um actually I can't elaborate more cause I really didn't notice much of them. Not that like I stared at all the girls or anything but I do notice more girls than boys. Don't judge.

Conclusion : Caucasian still wins.

Taiwan 09'

Well well well, it's been about 2 weeks since I updated this blog. I'm sorry for you guys to see the same thing everytime you visit my blog. I'll try to be more active alrite!

I came back from Taiwan this monday about 4am. Long story. Anyway I'll try to recall as much as I can about the wondeful trip. It was certainly a new and awesome experience. Fairly educational as well. Do you know that Taiwan is just behind Bangladesh for having the second most concentrated population in the world? Taiwan is quite small but they have certainly developed the country well, though not well rounded. Climate's pretty alrite, cooler than Malaysia but not really cold

1. Visited places.

Hm it was mainly places with beautiful sceneries, a few temples, and some historical places. Though I really dislike the boat rides. Um there were Yeh liu, Tai Lu Ge, Wen Wu Miao, and a few more. To me they aren't really the focus of the trip. Though Yeh Liu was wonderful, just plain wonderful. Nature has so much to offter to the world. All the pictures were uploaded to my facebook account. Check that out peeps =)

2. Shopping places.

101, Kao Shiung and a few more. Um things are basically about the same price as they are in Malaysia. Except for the books which are much cheaper there. And I saw a Magic Shop at Jiu Fen. Really cool old dude inside there. Showed me a few tricks. I acted surprise of course. LOL. And I bought a few clothes here and there, a book and bunch of lil items as souvenirs. Which half of them are for you guys. I probably shouldn't write this cause everyone will be like 'hey reserve one for me' and I won't. So if you get it, grats, if you don't, I'll get you something to eat la. haha.

3. EATING PLACES!!!!!

I'm not gonna write much about the place but its mostly NIGHT MARKET, SHILIN, FENGJIA, LIUHE, and a few more.

Food list ( and a rating x out of 10 ):

Ah Zong mian sian, 8
