I think you get my point.
Was at Max Pavilion, Expo, Singapore yesterday. LU CHEN'S WORLD MAGICAL TOUR 2010!!!! 谦变万化!!!!
Okay uh I don't know where to start. So I reached Woodlands via my mum's car, bought some stuff, had Mega Mac for dinner, and went to take the MRT to Expo.
Woodlands > Bishan > Paya Lebar > Tanah Merah > Expo. Took about an hour to get there. Big mistake not to bring my ipod resulting in super boring 60 minute MRT ride.

Singapore Expo! Hall 1, 2, 3, 4.....9. Max Pavilion is the 1oth. Gosh. Strolled, walked, rushed.
Tickets checked, got in, found seat, sat down. Was a bit disappointed to see the painted cement floor and foil-like ceiling, it really was a hall. Was expecting to see red coloured carpets, auto folded seats and stuff like that. Maybe most concerts or shows are like that, just that I hadn't realise as I haven't been to many of those.
On my left : Couple
On my right : Guy with his LV pouch/bag
In front : Two ladies who took a million pictures of themselves. Stupid flash.
Behind me : Couple
45 degrees to my right : Couple (fine lady + fat guy)
454 degrees to my left : Family
8pm. 8.10pm. FINALLY.

8pm. 8.10pm. FINALLY.
The shows begun and ended. I loved it. For a detailed description on his performances, read the post below. I give it an 8/10. Wonderful show. I was expecting 9/10 though. He had some awkwards moments during his card effect close up performace. Oh well, magicians are humans too. We all make mistakes. Still, he kept calm, controlled the crowd, and brought everything into a beautiful end.
After the show, I bought his dvd set. 40SGD for three dvds. A good bargain in my opinion. Performances and some tutorials I think. Anyone interested in renting them from me? Haha.
I saw some people gathering around. Discussing his secrets. What the hell. I was pretty pissed off. First, if you wanna see a performance, your attitude should be purely to enjoy the show and have a good time. Why are you out to expose him and reveal his secrets? Second, even if you know how he does his magic, why are you discussing and telling other people about it? What the hell are you doing? Where's the ethics? Third, you probably can't do it as good as him. So shut up.
I waited for my mum outside. She smsed me saying that she got lost. Somehow I was not surprised. I saw Albert, the guy who was on tv. I saw Jeff Leong too. He's a local magician, um fairly well known in our region. An ex-smksp student! I remember seeing him hosting the lunar festival show in school when I was form 1. He was with his friends. I didn't know him so I did mingle with them. I stood and waited alone.
After some while, everyone left. Except for Jeff and his friends, and I. Then they went behind the building. I didn't follow them though. I tend to avoid crowds that I don't know. And I started to think 'Lu Chen could be at the back, I would love to get his autograph. They don't even know me. Even if I ran up to them naked they wouldn't give a damn, what's holding me back? What am I afraid of?'
And so I went. There was a crowd of about 20 people waiting there. I asked if Lu Chen's going to be there. No one knew. Then a few people started to gather at a spot. I wonder is that Lu Chen? I followed. OMG THERE HE WAS!!!!!! I ran. AHH!!!!!! He's super cool and stylish!!! His hair is like of those from anime! I rushed to him, with a deck in my hand. He seemed tired, and probably a bit upset over his mistake during the show. He did not smile a lot, though he was friendly. Everyone surrounded him. A little pushing here and there. He was busy signing dvds, cards etc. Everyone was like "刘谦老师!!! *this* 刘谦老师!!! *that*".
He took my deck and signed it!!!!! And when he returned it to me, HE LOOKED AT ME! Haha, I sound like a total fan girl who saw her korean guy idol. But really his eyes are very um... deep? Very 有神. Soon, we were asked to back up. He got into his van and left. I don't understand. Why can't famous people just spend some time to properly autograph all of his fans' item, take pictures and greet them? Why the rush? Is the airplane really taking off in an hour?
My mum was still not there. I walked around. She called me, I didn't know where she saw, she didn't know where I was. Oh shoot, roaming calls. My credit went straight from RM16 to RM1 after a few calls. Damn, service unavailabe pula. I was alone, at night, 11pm, in some place that I'm not familiar with, and I didn't know where to go.
Phew luckily after a while. I saw her, she saw me, she picked me up, we went home.
I know I know. Here you go people.
PS : Sorry for the blurry pictures!!!
