Witness the miracle

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

I think you get my point.

Was at Max Pavilion, Expo, Singapore yesterday. LU CHEN'S WORLD MAGICAL TOUR 2010!!!! 谦变万化!!!!

Okay uh I don't know where to start. So I reached Woodlands via my mum's car, bought some stuff, had Mega Mac for dinner, and went to take the MRT to Expo.

Woodlands > Bishan > Paya Lebar > Tanah Merah > Expo. Took about an hour to get there. Big mistake not to bring my ipod resulting in super boring 60 minute MRT ride.

Singapore Expo! Hall 1, 2, 3, 4.....9. Max Pavilion is the 1oth. Gosh. Strolled, walked, rushed.

Tickets checked, got in, found seat, sat down. Was a bit disappointed to see the painted cement floor and foil-like ceiling, it really was a hall. Was expecting to see red coloured carpets, auto folded seats and stuff like that. Maybe most concerts or shows are like that, just that I hadn't realise as I haven't been to many of those.

On my left : Couple
On my right : Guy with his LV pouch/bag
In front : Two ladies who took a million pictures of themselves. Stupid flash.
Behind me : Couple
45 degrees to my right : Couple (fine lady + fat guy)
454 degrees to my left : Family

8pm. 8.10pm. FINALLY.

The shows begun and ended. I loved it. For a detailed description on his performances, read the post below. I give it an 8/10. Wonderful show. I was expecting 9/10 though. He had some awkwards moments during his card effect close up performace. Oh well, magicians are humans too. We all make mistakes. Still, he kept calm, controlled the crowd, and brought everything into a beautiful end.

After the show, I bought his dvd set. 40SGD for three dvds. A good bargain in my opinion. Performances and some tutorials I think. Anyone interested in renting them from me? Haha.

I saw some people gathering around. Discussing his secrets. What the hell. I was pretty pissed off. First, if you wanna see a performance, your attitude should be purely to enjoy the show and have a good time. Why are you out to expose him and reveal his secrets? Second, even if you know how he does his magic, why are you discussing and telling other people about it? What the hell are you doing? Where's the ethics? Third, you probably can't do it as good as him. So shut up.
I waited for my mum outside. She smsed me saying that she got lost. Somehow I was not surprised. I saw Albert, the guy who was on tv. I saw Jeff Leong too. He's a local magician, um fairly well known in our region. An ex-smksp student! I remember seeing him hosting the lunar festival show in school when I was form 1. He was with his friends. I didn't know him so I did mingle with them. I stood and waited alone.

After some while, everyone left. Except for Jeff and his friends, and I. Then they went behind the building. I didn't follow them though. I tend to avoid crowds that I don't know. And I started to think 'Lu Chen could be at the back, I would love to get his autograph. They don't even know me. Even if I ran up to them naked they wouldn't give a damn, what's holding me back? What am I afraid of?'
And so I went. There was a crowd of about 20 people waiting there. I asked if Lu Chen's going to be there. No one knew. Then a few people started to gather at a spot. I wonder is that Lu Chen? I followed. OMG THERE HE WAS!!!!!! I ran. AHH!!!!!! He's super cool and stylish!!! His hair is like of those from anime! I rushed to him, with a deck in my hand. He seemed tired, and probably a bit upset over his mistake during the show. He did not smile a lot, though he was friendly. Everyone surrounded him. A little pushing here and there. He was busy signing dvds, cards etc. Everyone was like "刘谦老师!!! *this* 刘谦老师!!! *that*".

He took my deck and signed it!!!!! And when he returned it to me, HE LOOKED AT ME! Haha, I sound like a total fan girl who saw her korean guy idol. But really his eyes are very um... deep? Very 有神. Soon, we were asked to back up. He got into his van and left. I don't understand. Why can't famous people just spend some time to properly autograph all of his fans' item, take pictures and greet them? Why the rush? Is the airplane really taking off in an hour?

My mum was still not there. I walked around. She called me, I didn't know where she saw, she didn't know where I was. Oh shoot, roaming calls. My credit went straight from RM16 to RM1 after a few calls. Damn, service unavailabe pula. I was alone, at night, 11pm, in some place that I'm not familiar with, and I didn't know where to go.
Phew luckily after a while. I saw her, she saw me, she picked me up, we went home.

I know I know. Here you go people.

PS : Sorry for the blurry pictures!!!

Smoke and mirrors

Lights out. Show starts.

There's a lady. There's an empty box with shimmering lights, shaped of a human. The lights got brighter and brighter then BAM! There he was, materialised from the lights, LU CHEN!!!!! AH!!!!!!!!!! *crowd went crazy*

Exciting music started to blast. First act, Metamorphosis. Lu Chen went into the box, girl stands outside the box. With the wave of the shiny cloth, they switched places in a split second!!! I have seen this effect many times in videos but it just looks 1000x more awesome when it happened right in front of my eyes!!! *shouts*

(I couldn't remember clearly the sequence of this performances)

His performance was spectacular! His sense of humour was definitely what everyone enjoyed a lot. The excited got everyone sitting at the edge of their seats. He took the guy's 100SGD bank note and with nothing in his hand he changed it into two!!! Two 50's that is. Still, he had his sleeves rolled up, no way man! He did the same effect later in his show, where he took two 2SGD notes and turned it into 100SGD!!!! Untung 96SGD!!! Funny that it was the same guy who offered the 100SGD before.

He also did mentalism. He predicted the woman's handphone number!!! He got a kiss from that lady in return. Haha, what a showman!

Squeeze, a totally new never before seen stage magic effect. He said its name in Spanish. Girl goes in between two planks. The two planks are pushed together. SLAM!!! Lu Chen took out a cardboard girl from in between. Haha. And when the planks are pulled apart, the girl was there!

Then, then, then, Lu Chen sawed a women in half. A different approach to an old effect. He had two specators to tie up her neck and feet. They pulled tight on the ropes so that there's no way she could've escaped. Two real strong metal plates are slammed into her abdomen part! She was unharmed in the end. Magic!

And he did his classic card manipulation act as well. There's a minor flaw. Though the performance was really smooth and totally an eye opener. His card manipulating skills are impeccable!

I totally loved his floating linking rings! (I'm not sure of the exact name so I'll just name the effect whatever it seemed to be) You know the classic metals rings that link together. But his, OMG THAT'S JUST SICK! It was like psychic linking rings! The ring, FLOATED! And them linked themselves together!! Same thing when they separate, THEY FLOATED APART!!! I've never seen anything like it, BRILLIANT!!!

I was really surprised when he did Rene Lavand's cups and balls routine. Rene Lavand was a magician who had only one hand. Still, his magic is mindblowing and legendary. Lu Chen did the same thing, he performed Lavand's routine with only one hand. One cup, three balls. Two goes in, one goes into the pocket. THREE BALLS ARE IN THE CUP. What the?! He repeated it many times while he talked about dreams, inspiration etc. And I got fooled at the end, where he did the same thing, except for THE CUP WAS EMPTY!!! Awesome kicker!!! An inspiring performance. I have small hands, Lavand had only one. Who am I to complaint?

Then he did the Human Block Piece thingy. Um this one is nice, but rather boring compared to the others. Still I have no idea how he did it. Girls goes into a frame. She was then covered with tiles. And when he took the tiles away, the girl was gone!!!! But the head was still there!!! And after that THERE WAS NO HEAD AT ALL!!! Then she reappeared. The prestige.

He performed close-up as well. It was what I anticipated the most! He did what I think is his signature card effect. I've seen it on tv before, the 1-1o card cut. He got a specator to shuffle the deck and name any of the four suits in the deck. He then cut the deck into ten separate piles in ten seconds. Oh so...? OH HELL. The first pile had 1 card, the second pile had 2, and so on!!! All the top cards happened to be ace to ten of hearts! Then he produced the J, Q, and K of hearts with style and finesse. Still, he messed up before that. He repeated the ten cuts like 3 or 4 times. He even peaked at the cards, and arranged them a little bit. I was disappointed of course. The only card effect in his 90 minutes show. And he made a boo boo. I think there was an error in the deck setup. Still, I have no idea how was that done. I do have a theory though. (Hint : Stripper + Svengali?)

Then he made a little girl float. Gave a him tigger and a picture as a present. Sweet. It was flawless!

He borrowed 3 rings from the audience. And FREAKING LINKED THE TOGETHER. Examined by the spectators themselves, yes it was their rings. HOW COULD IT BE?! Then he separated them with magic. *flipped out*

His prediction was TOTALLY AWESOME. A guy from the audience was chosen and was said to be Lu Chen's lover in their past lives! Haha! How interesting!!! The guy was hillarious and was enjoying the crowd. Lu Chen then asked him what was her birthday in his past live. (She was a girl then). He asked him where did they went together, what they ate, what did they did in hotel room alone. Haha the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was super enjoying it. At in the end, the board that had been hanging there untouched the whole time revealed exactly what had the guy said!!!! OMG!!! Pure magic!!!

And he wowed everyone with his Teleport Escape. His hands were tied up with metal chains. He got into the box. Attempting to escape. There was large spikes that were to be released from above and crush him. Everyone counted. 3!!!!! 2!!!!! Lu Chen shouted '等一下!!!!' BAM. Too late. The spike penetrated the box. There was silence. OUT OF NOWHERE, THERE HE WAS STANDING ON THE PLATFORM IN THE AUDIENCES!!!!!! Amazing amazing!!!!!

He ended the show with Water to Snow. Hm. I think it was a weak ending, should've picked something that ends with a SCHBOOM!!! He told a story about African kids wanting to see snow. And he took a tissue paper, cut it into the shape of a snowflake. He picked up a glass of water, had a sip, and dipped the tissue into the water. He poured everything into this hand and with a hard squeeze. THERE WAS SNOW. SNOW EVERYWHERE. A beautiful sight.

The end. Finally.

That's impossible, so are you

I have so much to blog about yet so little time to blog.

Percubaan's around the corner. No more child's play. This means less facebook, less magic, less music, and less blogging. LESS, not none.

School chess competition is tomorrow. Excited. I'll do my best to keep my title as champion. This year a lot of us took part, mainly to ponteng kelas tambahan I think. I was hesitating to pull out or not until I saw the timetable for kelas tambahan : BM MT SJ. That makes entering the competition 100% the right thing to do. Haha. 我没有别的意思.

AND AND AND AND AND!!!!

TOMORROW I'M GOING TO SINGAPORE TO CATCH LU CHEN WORLD MAGIC TOUR!!!!!!!!!!

OH MY GAWD.

You won't believe how excited I am. The well known magician that I've been watching on tv shows, countless youtube videos, FINALLY I GET TO SEE HIM IN PERSON!!!

For those who don't know who Lu Chen is, he is a professional magician. Probably The most famous magician in Taiwan. My hopes are up and I know that I'm in for a spectacular-mind-blowing-eye-opening-breath-taking-heart-thumping-action-packed-out-of-this-world-show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lu Chen does a variety of magic acts including stage magic, mentalism, manipulation act etc. He specialises in close-up magic. Which is also what I'm doing, or at least what I'm trying to do. His baby face and smile totally win the hearts of many, young and old, girls and boys, magicians and non-magicians.

Still, what I admire most in him is his originality and the way he conjures the art. He just seems so natural and confident when he is performing. His creativity and style totally captivated and inspired me. I'm still looking for the quality that he possess, the essence that makes him stand out from the 100000 magicians in the world.

He has this ability to lead everyone into the realm of magic and make the impossible possible. His words changes the atmosphere and ambience, something not all magicians can do. Some of the card magic that he does I can do too. His sleights are smooth but with enough practice I can be just as good. Still, I lack something. Something which he possesses and I don't. The touch of magic. Everything he does is magic. All you see is magic, not techniques. If we were to do the same card effect, you would be blown away by his and just laugh at mine.

You'll be thinking

"OH MY GOD?! How the hell did Lu chen do that??!!! **** *** **** *** *******!!!! No way that was real!!! Huh how what the?!!" *faints*

and

"Hmm quite interesting, I wonder what trick cards was khaixiang using..."

Yea something like that. Oh for your information, I don't use trick decks. Normal deck of 52 and a pair of hands. Pure sleight of hand and misdirection baby.

Oh of course, love his catch phrase. 见证奇迹的时刻!

That's why I have fine respect for him. I look up to him. I wanna be like him. I hope to be better than him!

OMG I'M SO GOING TO BARGE IN THE BACKSTAGE AND GET HIM TO SIGN MY DECK OR TAKE A PICTURE WITH ME!!!

I really hope I can do so!

扣一分

I forgot when was the last time I slept in on a Saturday. It's either extra class or some other events. Seriously life have changed for me, for the better or the worse? For the busier that's for sure.

Went to INTI college university's REVISION WORKSHOP. BM > BI > MT > FZ.

Walked to Soonming's house. Waited for Yonghow. Got on cab. Reached Hotel Selesa by 8am+. I like the cab driver, who charged us according to the meter. Rarity.

A lot of us were there. SMKSP had probably about 20 students there? More? Yea I think more. Sn 3 had a whole bus for them. Though we came on our own accord, and transport.

BM was really really interesting. Encik Rosland, I salute you. You're guidance will be of great significance to my method of answering questions for the upcoming percubaan. What a guy, he can even speak chinese! Like use the words in sentences correctly!

Here's a sneak peek : The way we all construct our rumusan is 6 isi tersurat + 2 isi tersirat. He said no way we'll score more than 18/30 like this. We have to assume that both of our isi tersirat
are WRONG. So I was like 'Okay how do we do it then?'. 8 tersurat + 8 tersirat. NO WAY?! Yeap. He showed us how. First time in my life I was blown away by teachers.

After that was Puan Cheah. Not sure how to spell her Cheah. Chia? Chea? She's pretty well known in Perling. Currently teaching in Seta. The session was only 1.5 hours long so we didn't really had enough time to go through everything that is in the papers. In fact for English, she didn't taught us anything very useful. All she said was to write narrative stories for cotinuous writing, and compose an original and interesting story. The rest was just jokes, laughter, examples etc. Amusing but pointless. Still I like her! She totally sounds like Pn Soh.

Uh Add Math. I pontenged. We pontenged. Makan! Abalone noodle opposite Plaza Pelangi's McD exit. Guys you have to try it! Super super nice! Had Auntie Anne's chocolate pretzel sticks for desert. Thanks Jiaen for the treat.

Back at the hotel. Sat for the last 5 minutes of the Add Math session. The guy speaking was an INTI guy, not a school teacer I suppose. Heard that Physics will be taught by him as well. Left, all of us. Haha. Hesitating to go cs catch a movie or go home.

In the end, I took the bus to cs. To change another bus so I could go home. Three of us together once again, yh sm kx. Waited for quite a long time for a bus. He got down, then we got down. He walked home, I walked home.

That's how I share my boring life with my friends. Care to join?

I love you too

Oh oh oh guess what!

It's my cousin's 2nd birthday! Happy 730th day in this world of peace and joy! My grandma went to Singapore to celebrate his birthday. I wish I were there. Who cares about class on Fridays?

Shoutout to Filzah too! The screaming prefect back in 2007 when I first knew her. Happy 18th! It's 18 right? You're old. At least older than me. Have a good one!

Where are you... There you are!

Unbeatable cuteness. To me it is.

Although he can be very demanding and annoying sometimes, who can resist him? I know I can't!

I think he's a leftie as well! YAY =)

I LOVE YOU. How hard can it be?

Backspace

I wish I had no cerebrum. So I could stop thinking.

I wish I was a cup of ice moccha. So I could be cool and smooth.

I wish I was neon. So I could resist from reacting.

I wish it was christmas. So I could sing about you.

I wish I made sense. So I could stop now.

Do the ro-ro-ro-bot.

Whhoooooohh! Back from Yanxin's birthday party. Shout out to Yanxin and Yiyong! Happy 17th! You'll only get to do it once, so LIVE IT!

It's all KURAYZZEEEEE!!! The food was nice. The games were fun. Everything is fun when you do it with your friends. OMG CJ DANCED. Who knew our penolong ketua pengawas can actually dance? Hip hop popping style! He dazzled us with his SORRY SORRY solo. Oh my god, he can't stop, he won't stop. He's on fire man! You've really changed. 180 degree. Good or not I don't know, but that right there showed me what it means to be brave and not afraid to lose a lot of face. THAT WAS SICK!

I didn't know that I could be so fast in picking a gift. Haha. Normally it would take me about half an hour to decide what to get. I think too much. Nike's right, JUST DO IT.

Still, enough with the rumours. I know I seem like someone who is alright with all those unharmful words but still, it's a bit uncomfortable. You all can do whatever makes you happy, be my guest. Just don't cross the line. I do have a temper. Never seen me blow up? Haha I don't think you would want that. Seriously, you don't want that. *stares*

Nah who am I kidding. Little insignificant things can't bring me down, I have a life to live. Okay okay um I haven't done any homework in a long while. Nothing's going to happen if I do nothing. The change is mine to make.

I'm really high right now. Everything makes no sense. Okay I just slapped myself, I thought there was a mosquito near my face.

I don't like it when blog posts end in the middle of nowhere. It's like.

Hoax of the dawn

PLKN

The hottest topic
At school
I used my friend's phone
sms to check if I was enlisted
the reply was
TAHNIAH

Sad? Angry?
Shocked
That's the word
Stomped my foot all around
Threw some stuff
Screamed at random and innocent people
Did stuff that made no sense
Couldn't really accept the fact
Did not have a plan what to do next
Felt lost
Was a bit off the rest of the day

Till the very last moment
My friend said to me
I got you
It was a message I made
You got fooled
Haha
SCREW YOU MAN
SCREW YOU
SCREW YOU

I'm not going to reveal his name
But it's hidden somewhere here
And it's pretty damn obvious

And that was how
I got fooled

Maybe that's why I'm a libra

And so we lost. The debate. Free is the word.

It was Ck, Zhuwen, Soonming and I vs Kaisian, Weixian, Jouheng and Kokhui. It was great debating with them, flaunting arguing skills, and showing all sorts of bitchy faces. In the end, we lost. There was no hard feelings at all as we lost in the fairest manner possible. We lack cohesiveness and experience, we had a weak preparation, and we had not established our points clearly. They had the edge. It was their 1109 against our 9xx, I forgot what the xx was. Anyways it was a clear win. Good job guys, really!

My guess was correct, best debator went to Kokhui. He was fluent in his speech, he kept clarity under the fire of our brutal questioning and I liked the dynamics is his tone. You totally deserved it, well done.

I won't talk much about the match. I wanna talk about losing, which is what I think many people perceived wrongly. Believe it or not, to me winning is equivalent to losing. I believe that in life everything exists in equilibrium, very much like physics, forces in equilibrium, forces act in pairs, action and reaction. Therefore if we value everything based on this concept, or I would say mindset, we can clearly define that winning is same as losing. It's like choosing between 2+2 and 3+1. There is no difference in value. So why bother to choose? Just flow with it.

What exactly is it that you get when you win? Trophy, maybe cash prize, praise, sense of accomplishment etc. It's all good. And that's where people stop thinking! Now if we look into it, what do we get when we lose? Experience, knowledge of our mistakes, a stronger will to strive, closer relationship with friends etc. I'm happy for that. At the end of the day, both sides add up to an equal value. That's what I see.

Of course you will get that tinge of happiness, superiority, and ecstasy when you win, that is a great feeling isn't it. Still, how long can that feeling last? Do you agree that it will make your next loss more painful? Once again, equality.

That is why I view win and lose the same. They exist in seemingly opposite forms but are essentially the same. And that is also why I compete in so many chess competitions although I never won, not even one. Am I the idiot who can't realise that I'm not good enough? What do I get? Fun, experience, thrill, and friends. I'm getting what the winners get just in another way. In that sense, is there any reason to be sad of losing?

That puts off all the pressure in whatever I pursue. I only feel pressurise, or feel that there's a need to win when external factors are taken into account. For example, maybe if I win or do well in something, my parents will feel happy, or I can then pass my piano exam. In that case, something else is at stake and I will do my best to achieve it. Needless to say I'll always do my best in whatever I do, not for winning or anything but to live up to my own standards.

Sometimes I feel a bit annoyed when people ask me 'Did you win?'. 'How did it went?' is more appropriate. Regardless of me winning or losing, why does a person ask such question? In my mind winning and losing is the same, so why do people appear to be in favour of winning? Apparently we do not share to same frequency of thinking. I'm not pointing fingers saying who's wrong who's right, there's a huge possibility that all the crap above is just me in my fantasy world of cards and cheese.

You win some, you lose some. I lost this one. Can't be any simpler.

No not lovesick

I'm sick = Nong Kua Bei

It's been a long time since I've gotten sick. I went to school today feeling okay. Though right when class started, I felt umcomfortable, not well. Before I know it, I'm having FEVER and SERIOUS HEADACHE. Okay it's not a big thing or a terminal disease, still I totally hate the feeling of getting sick.

I had to drink a lot of water. I actually gulped down two full bottles of water in school. And it probably wasn't enough. I pissed like every 20 minutes, and my piss was like hot spring water, no kidding. Hope I'm not grossing you out.

My eyes. MY EYES! There's this hot sensation around my eyes that made me felt that I was going to shoot lasers out of them. Felt like cyclops. And every drop of tear from my eyes was probably hot enough to boil eggs. Half boiled maybe. ( I wasn't crying, it's umm.. you know, sick tears.) Though I was glad that there was no sore throat.

Thank god class ended early today, teachers' meeting. I got home. Ate, and took forty winks. When I woke up, it didn't felt any better. I went to Zhuwen's house. Walked with her to Soonming's house. Preparation for the upcoming debate competition. Our point of view being 'Corporal punishment is not an effective education method'. Ck joined us a bit later and we did some research bla bla and other stuff. After that I went home feeling a lot better. Maybe it's the green pea soup Soonming's mum treated us to. Yummmm. Thanks Mrs Ng!

Sleep again. And this time when I woke up, the headache felt worse than ever. It's like there's a spike ball inside my head. Every head turn I made hurt a lot. Had some soup and a bun for dinner. Now feeling slightly okay.

Oh god, why now? Why this week? I have so much on my plate! Add math folio, debate competition, homework, revision (screw that), so on. I think it was because of Spain vs Netherland. I felt totally no tiredness whatsoever during the school hours after that match. And today comes the sickness? Lack of sleep. Hm. Nevertheless, I'll do my best to fulfil my duties. Sickness is just something that slows me down, it cannot stop me if I don't want it to.

To all my beloved friends and blog readers, take good care of yourself. There's nothing more important than being able to do what you want in the pink of health. =)

Good night

Spain won. 1-0. Iniesta. Awesome goal. Scored at just the right time.

Confirm headache tomorrow. I mean later.

LIGHTS OUT!

Eyes on the ball

It's 4.20am right now. Probably my earliest blog post ever. I'm watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals. Netherland vs Spain. Pretty exciting match.

So far both sides are keeping up very well. Strong offence, tight defence and a few near misses. Well there is one problem, NOT A SINGLE GOAL. Instead, a bunch of cards were given out, so far 7 I think. Fouls everywhere. The busiest person on the field seems to be the referee.

I'm not a football kaki. But the event is held once in four years, so yea I decided to care for once. I'm on Netherland's side. Reason being that Paul the Octopus is on Spain's side, and I like it when things turn out unexpected. Not really a solid reason but I'm not regretting it, Netherland's coping well right now.

People have brains, so umm... I don't know... USE THEM? The eight legged creature is innocent, and I don't think it knows anything about foot, nor ball. Weird huh. I mean what's next? Monkeys voting for presidency?

Oh crap, EXTRA TIME. I have school tomorrow. So far I've only gotten 2 hours+ of sleep. I don't think I'm tired enough to sleep right now. I just had 4 tuna + cheese sandwich and 2 cups of juice. Gosh should I watch on? *Subconscious mind says SCREW SCHOOL, conscious mind agrees* I have Monday anyways.

Go Netherlands!

*I didn't know that Holland = Netherland before this World Cup*

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na

Random picture of the day :

One word. BEATLEMANIA. Already you can picture the screams, cheers, not to mention the fainting girls.

Okay I'll keep this asap. ( as short as possible )

My parents and I went to catch it in Singapore yesterday. Drove to the Esplanade Theatre, got lost a few times. Singapore is not the best place to lose your way and drive around . Each ERP beep on the thingy is equivalent to about a packet of extra large chicken rice thrown into the river, gone for good. Nonetheless, we reached there, had a simple dinner, and finally arrived at the theatre hall just about 15 minutes earlier.

The theatre hall looked very impressive, clean, and classy. Lights down, curtains up, it's showtime.

And there they were! Rockin' out on stage. First off was Twist and Shout. It was a blast. And they played about 10 songs. The bandplay was tight. Throughout there was also a basic storyline and videography of their journey. Then there was a 20 minutes intermission. After that the show was back on. They played more Beatles' classics. Altogether about 20 more of them, a grand total of 30 songs more or less. The show kept on getting better and better. The crowd definitely felt the music and everyone got their feet, sang along, and grooved to the beat. The crowd got really really high towards the end, and everyone was in ecstasy during the last song, Hey Jude. Yes the "na...... na.. na.. Na Na NA NA!!!!" part.

Ok let's see how far I can remember. They played twist and shout, love me do, from me to you, mr post man, strawberry fields forever, come together (best!), let it be, hey jude, I saw her standing there, lucy in the sky with diamonds, rock and roll music, I'm a loser, revolution, all my loving, can't buy me love, I want to hold your hand, o-bla-di o-bla-da, yellow submarine, get back, all you need is love, don't let me down, eight days a week, help!, I feel fine, day tripper, sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band, ticket to ride, you can't do that, with a little help from my friends. About that much la, though I was hoping for them to play I am the walrus, Paperback writer, In my life and a few other songs.

2 hours felt kinda short. The show was over and of course left everyone wanting for more. Overall I think they did okay as impersonators, not that great. Paul's actions are similar to that of Paul. Ringo did his shaking head thing. George from far looked like George, but was moving too much on stage, not what the quite Beatle would do. And John did the best. The nonchalant-ness was there, he sounded like him, he even looked a bit like him. Definitely the star of the show.

Too bad as a band they do not have the Beatles' spirit. Their bandplay was slightly too perfect, in my opinion better than the original, which isn't a good thing in my opinion. People look forward to the unexpected surprises in concerts, the drum rolls, the running down the stage, variations in the melody. They did not have that. Well what more can I ask for? Half of the original is dead, so yea I'm still very much satisfied with their performance.

After the show, I bought a Beatle's booklet. We got in line and got the band to sign it, I even took a picture with them. To my dad's surprise, they're very young, in their 20's I think. I sure hope that they fully master the Beatleology and perform here again someday.

I talk too much.

Someone called me baby?!

It's been a while since the last time I walked home from school. Never did I enjoyed it. I mean who likes to get their skin burnt by the scorching sun? ALL YEAR LONG.

Before that Dyi Perng wanted to have lunch outside so he asked me if I wanted to lunch together. And how could I leave him alone? Ah Beh saw us and tagged along as well. Spicy Curry Chicken Noodle, YUM. Though there was no more chicken so the lady replaced them with fishballs, fried tofu etc.

Anyways after that, Ah Beh accompanied me to walk home. Well he did not walk la, he was on his bicycle while I was on foot. Still, it was awfully nice of him to do so. What a friend. He can be extremely absurd and silly sometimes, or maybe most of the time, but really he is a good soul.

So to all you girls out there who wants to have a mate who is willing to walk you home every single day, carry your bag, and make you laugh non stop all the way, AH BEH is your best bet.
(This is so commericial-ish, only saying the good stuff. Haha.)

Relaxing right now. Later going to Singapore to see Beatlemania On Tour. Excited, not too excited.

Will blog about it tomorrow. For more info, wait for tomorrow's post la.

* Someone said something weird today. Please don't call me that, you shouldn't be doing that. Thanks, but no thanks. =)*

No time to think of a title

Yea you heard it. Having my test starting from tomorrow till thursday.

This time I'm really really screwed. I have not yet completed studying any subjects at all.

I have less than 24 hours. Minus sleeping time, that gives me about 9 hours.

Adrenaline rush. Not entirely because of exam of course. Not going to elaborate on that.

Will be back posting more random stuff on Friday.

See you people. =)

Miss ya blog!

and you too.

Me are weird

Hey people, I'm back.

It's me right now
The me that you know
I'm taking over for a while
So I punched the other me
And knocked him out cold

I guess it's not too hard
To switch between me and me
But of course deep down
I know which me is me
The me that I am
Not the me I choose to be

Just be
Do not choose to be

I'm crapping on my blog
I can see that
I'll write whatever I want
Whatever I feel like

And years from now
I'll look back at this
And laugh at myself

We should all learn to laugh at ourselves
It's what I call growing up

Door, lock and key hypothesis

And so there's this door
That looked somewhat inviting
Although there's no 'welcome' sign on it

I'd like to know what lies behind it
Whether if it's a mirror
Or a cliff that ends there and then

The only way to find out
Is to turn the knob
And open it

Is it locked?
Never try
Never know

Say it is unlocked
I'll get to the other side
And whatever happens happens

If it is locked
And the alarm goes off
Then things will go wrong

I tried asking someone
Who sees this door everyday
But of course who never tried entering

Said that it's probably locked
But the alarm may be disabled
Though it's better to steer clear from it

Should I try to find the key?
Does it even have one?
Or should I figure out the alarm's password?

I think I should just knock
And wait
And leave

And that's what she said to me

Hari Terbuka. I went to school with my father at 8am. Surprisingly there was no one there, so I did not have to wait in line. Uh showed my father my results, bla bla bla, la la la, and Puan Anbarasi said that I wasn't paying attention in class. Erhem erhem, something like this.

" Khai Xiang is overall okay, but he does not pay much attention in my class. I know he might be good in bm but the attention span is not there. He and his friends will be doing some other things during my period. They live in their own worlds and I have to call them back.... "

Dear Puan Anbarasi, I apologise for not paying attention in your class. But it is not because of I'm already good in bm (which I'm not) or anything like that, the reason is simple. I do not have interest in bm at all. Still, I respect you as a teacher and therefore I will try my best not to interrupt your class while I mind my own business. Nah just kidding, I'll try to pay more attention in your future classes.

After that, Cuiling's DSLR made our day. We took a million photos for our nostalgia photo. We took boy + girl shot, class-family-shot, no-smile-act-cute-shot, and my favourite, JUMP SHOTS! Who knew they could be so fun to take and not to mention very tiring as well!

Oh yea I also took the BP, eye and BMI test. Turns out that I have normal blood pressure and eye sight and is underweight (18.2). Note-to-self : Eat more. Uh bought 3 cookies (One heart shaped and one ginger-bread-man shaped, the other treated Cuiling, don't know what shape) from Chentel, Jeslene, Xinhui, Esther, I don't exactly know what club they were representing. Anyways the cookies were nice, though I'm not a big fan of the sugar icing. Had something to cure my thirst as well. Ice sticks. 2 cendol sticks + 2 asam sticks, I had one for myself. The other 3 went to Jiaen, Xinhui and Nermit.

Bla la bla la bla la nothing too important after that.

Waited for the return of my report book then went straight to home.

I'll look back

Will there be exam next week?

Still in debate.

Our class top student, Amin wrote a letter to the school to apply for cancellation for the upcoming exam. We even had a petition which many of us signed. I for one did not sign it. It's not that I enjoy going through the exam or I love studying but the reason being that I am one who will not bother to study unless there is an exam. I take it as a push, pressure, whatever you call it. It's what not I want, but it's what I need and have to do.

But still I do believe that exam is unnecessary. We've just had 3 weeks of exam. Followed by 2 weeks of holidays. We have not learnt anything new for more than a month. So now, 2 weeks after the school reopened, we're having another test?

Where's the logic? Is there a point at all?

Anyway, there isn't an outcome yet. Tengah bincang, so called. I call it indecisive, hesitation and procrastination.

Fingers crossed.

I'm excited right now. Don't ask why cause I won't tell. Just don't press me cause in the end I probably will spit it all out.
