Life of an honest liar

Lazy people like me use Sharpies

Had a great time at NP Open house 2012. I was to perform at my CCA Entertainers' Club's booth for all 3  days. Although the time and effort spent there was probably worth more than 2R points. The experience and satisfaction was beyond words can describe.

I saw quite a few ninjas throughout the event. It was nice seeing them again. Really wish we could hang out soon. Of course I performed the best that I could for them. And I think at the very least they liked it. There was also spectators from NRA, Fifi and her friends. Loved loved loved their reaction. Sometimes receiving vulgarity like 'What the ***?!' or 'How the ****ing hell?!' or just the good ole '****!' gives me the greatest sense of achievement.  It was my pleasure to share with them this beautiful art.

One particular audience that I remembered the most is a guy whose hearing was impaired. I introduced myself using my extremely limited knowledge of the sign language. (Thanks Chris Lim for teaching me!) And I told him  that he does not need to hear, all he needs is to do is see. And I showed him something visual. Sure enough. He flipped out. It really makes me happy to see that my hard work can make someone smile. Make a person's day  somewhat better. Even just for that little bit.

I also made balloons sculptors! I must say I improved throughout those three days! Now I can make decent dogs and flower bracelets. I gave one to Nas, one to Shaniz (I think), one to Mia (Ekko's friend just in case I forgotten) and a few other people. I'm glad that they did not dislike it. My fingers really got the work out they needed.

And the highlight of the event is my performance for the International Student Club. It was their new year's party and I was invited to do a 15 minutes show. I didn't had much time to plan my routine but I did my best. I opened with Helder's two glass effect, followed by Clutch, then Estimating Aces, and a final prediction effect. The crowd went crazy. Loved their enthusiasm. And I'm happy with it. Definitely my best show by far. Now I know my routine works, at least for a small crowd of 30 or so. Next thing to do. Is to improve even more. I want to be able to do a perfect pass by 2012.

So that's what happened for the past few days.

2012 was alright so far. I see hectic days ahead though. All the best to all.
