Kukup tak cukup

Came back from Kukup. There were 14 of us in total. It was mad awesome fun. The last time this many of us gathered was probably back in December '10. The KL trip. That one I could never forget for the rest of my life.

But this, was different.

Back then we were classmates. We shared the same school. The same clique. The same pressure. The same exams. And more or less, the same life.

And now.

We're independent individuals. No longer having that much in common anymore. The only thing that still binds us together. The thing that made us fork out money and time too see each other and enjoy each other's company for just a few days. To talk crap, laugh like retards and reminisce. Is the friendship we possess.

Cheesy. Yes. Very. But still.

I'll attempt to capture the feel of every moment with my limited vocabulary and substandard command of language. And in 10 or 20 years maybe. I'll look at this and smile for a while.

Shit. Is it me or is this getting sad.

Seven Six a.m. waking up in the morning. Gotta get fresh. Gotta go downstairs. Gotta get my bowl plate. Gotta have cereal cheesecake...

Then we met up at Larkin Bus Interchange. Rounded up all of us and it's time to rock and roll. On the bus.

We've got a ticket to ride.
 We've got a ticket ri-ii-ide.
We've got a ticket to ride.
 And we don't care
Nah we do.

We stopped half way at Pontian to have breakfast since we were kinda of early. Thanks to my cheesecake I didn't order anything. And thanks to poor decision making I kinda regretted it afterwards. And before that for some reason I read up on the extraction of nitrogen from liquid air. Oi Yee bought her inorganic chemistry book. And I. Read.

Group photo with CJ.

Seriously man thanks for taking the photos.

Ler Ling, yea that one >>>, convinced herself that she's now a pretty girl. She's quite proud of it. I agree to a certain extend. True that I couldn't recognize her when I was her from the back at McDonald's. Thought it was Jia En's beau. Silly thought. Haha he best not see this.

We reached Kukup after around 2 hours. Hm I must say I expected more than what was presented in front of me. To hell with that. Everything is awesome when you do it with the people you love.

Houses and pathways on stilts. Yea sure okay. In the mud/paya we have mud skippers. Crabs. Bottles. Plastic bags. All that. Oh and ample flies. How could I forget that. And how I wish I could.

I like the view. The smell sucked though. It was almost like a sewer. Like if the ninja turtles came they'd feel at home.

This is our 'luxurious mansion'. Fully air conditioned. Comes with the tv. The couches. The karaoke room. And again. The bloody flies. And the only thing that's  七彩  about the house is this signboard. Still I'm quite happy with the setup. Not bad.

The curly stairs were fun. Wei Qing wouldn't go up on it. Well she did in the end as a forfeit. We ruled the first floor.

Girls. Hm.

I swear they'll be dating someday. And when this comes true. Remember to show them this post and show the others I have predicted the future.

I bet no one loves candid photos like I do. Genuine. Bona fide. Real.

After pointing towards at nothing in the sky we went to have lunch. Typical seafood lunch. Fish. Prawns. And whatnot. I remember clearly the prawns were overcooked throughout the trip. The fish though was nice. Ahh what a lovely lunch. And Siang kept on going with his spastic jokes.

Oh oh oh. Highlight of the trip I'd say? We learnt how to play mahjong. Siang was our shi fu. It wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. I guess I just never really got to learning it. But now things have changed. We are now highly skilled. Next time we shall battle it out on the table guys.

The most touche use of LIKE A BOSS.

Like TWO bosses.

We took a half boat half ferry to the fishing farm. That was around 5pm in the evening. Luckily no one had sea sick. Or else we might have some precious footage here. Haha.

Girls. Again.

Guess I should write more about them huh. Oi Yee's more or less the same. Wei Qing getting more mushroomish. Ler Ling has a nice dress here. Owl. And Jia Min is still ever so sweet with Hau Kit. =)

So the guy explained a bit about the belacan industry and how the fishing works. And we saw king crabs. Baby sharks. Siang bought some seafood titbits. And hahaha he lost them before he got to eat them. He lost his food. Even my baby cousin wouldn't lose his food.

Oh oh and we saw the archer fish. Dead accuracy. Shoot water up and bam! Hits the anchovy. Pretty cool.

At night. We feast. Dinner awesome. We had a barbecue dinner. We didn't have to do the work though. We just ate. First time in my life I had a full meal eating barbecue food. It always used to be more sweating than calorie intake. The sting ray was awesome. Prawn still, overcooked.

To just gather around and have fun chatting and enjoying the good food is such a precious gift. I really really hope we can do this more often. Having more stories to share. More jokes to laugh at. And more gossips to spread.

Vanessa is so cute. Haha. She said she was like a star when she visited the Phillipines few weeks back. No one could match her fair complexion and she was mistaken as a korean star. Haha.

Group photo check point

We went back to the chalet and chilled for the rest of the night. Singing karaoke, playing cards, mahjong, chit chatting etc. Didn't plan to sleep. It's going to be full on night time madness.

See the racquet there? That's a new sport. Fly electrocution. It became a hobby. We slayed like 20 flies minimum. Haha some even got so burnt smoke rose from the wires. Smell of barbecue flies.

Had 绿豆汤 for supper and the night continued.

And did I mention I was wearing my Red Camp Ninja shirt! I packed everything in my backpack and why not bring along the ninja spirit right?

Oh okay. This I have to go into detail. We were playing the spy/thief/murderer/blinking game. These two lost. And they had to wear Ler Ling's pretty dresses. After faking reluctance for a while they did it and we snapped them some sexxay pictures. This is definitely 18sx material.

After blasting hours of karaoke some of us are holding up pretty well. Others are just brain dead.

Our no sleep plan failed badly. By 3am all of us are like zombies. We wanted sleep more than we wanted brains though. We all slammed in our beds. I slammed into the same one as CJ.

Brand new day. Last day.

And yea Kukup looks the same. Starting to get used to the uncleanliness of the place. Though this could be the last time I'd ever be there with my dear friends.

Breakfast was a hassle when you have to eat with one hand and shoo away flies with the other. It got to a point where I think most of us don't even care if the flies had physical contact with our food. Just eat, gonna be okay. Da doo doo.

Our final lunch together at Kukup. Food was good. Atmosphere was great. Everyone had a great time. I guess we all knew it was going to end soon. Enjoy the last few moments while we can. At least that was what went through my mind.

I still remember the time when this guy wanted to sell his house. Mocca. Haha.

Packed up and left Kukup. Waited for the bus to come. Talked about the sexuality of cartoon characters. Like Blue from Blue's Clues was a female dog. No shit! And Tinky Winky seem to be a gay symbol. A purple dude with a handbag. Beats me.

We saw kids apparently doing parkour. I seriously crossed my fingers and hope they don't fall and kill themselves. The bus came. We were all beat. The following pictures was totally expected.

I had a good nap.

Love you guys so much, more than my cards

Jia En Ler Ling Oi Yee got off the bus. The rest of us decided to catch Mission Imppossible 4 : Ghost Protocol at City Square. I don't know about them. But I felt really sad to see them step off the bus. I mean no one knows the time we will see each other next time. Could be months. Touchwood. Even years. Ahh it's like the last scene in Inception when they completed the mission and went their separate ways once again.

The movie was good. I like Simon Pegg the most. I shall not get into that now. So after the movie we took a bus home. Jake CJ Haukit Jiamin and I got off together. We walked. We said bye to each other. And that was it.

Less than 48 hours and it was over. Already I miss them. We'll be more busy in 2012. In a few more years comes university. Then comes the real world. I hope things doesn't happen to fast. So we could have time for each other in between.

It has been a wonderful experience with you all. I could not have spent the two days any better.
