I am number two

Hung out with Vanessa, Weiqing, Weiming, Woonann and Siang. We met up and had lunch. Funny how most of the time we can't decide where to eat at Jusco Tebrau City and end up dining at the 欢... something something. This is my third or fourth time there. I had cheese baked rice with fish fillet. Scrumptuous. I'll order the same thing next time.

Then went on to watch I AM NUMBER FOUR. First time in my life while buying the movie tickets the computer malfunctioned. Long story short, our tickets didn't match our seats.

*Sighing while shaking my head in disappointment*

Honestly I didn't really want to watch it. I wanted to go for 127 hours but it wasn't until 3pm so we hadn't much of a choice. The minute I saw the trailer I had a bad feeling about this one. I was right. Damn right I was.

The first half of the movie depicts a guy who's an alien from whatever planet who happens to look just like a human hiding and staying in different places because some mogobardiaswhateverians are trying to kill him. He was obviously number four. 1 2 3 were killed. No idea why the aliens would want to kill them in order. He moved to this town where he fell in love with this girl knowing that those hunters are moving up on him. What an understanding alien right.

Then they battle those aliens with gills. Bla bla bla. Blue light was shooting out of his hands which by the way works fine as a torch light. It's totally hillarious how the bad guys have cool red laser guns while the good guys had a parang with blue light at the end. Which does nothing at all except making them highly visible in the dark. Easy for the baddies to aim and shoot I guess. And the girl just runs around looking pretty.

Then they bumped into number six. Who's this badass girl who's way more powerful than guy number four here. She's fireproof. So they killed some aliens. Left the girl he loved. Oh yea his dog morphed into a chimera by the way. Went on to find 5 7 8 9. The end.

It was totally lame. The narrator just told the story. ' I am from blablabla.. earth is my new home blablabla.. that's the way it's going to stay blablabla. ' This movie has no depth. No excitement value. No production value. Acting were mediocre. Sometimes when you know the story isn't great but still you expect to see some awesome fighting and action scenes right. The battle scenes in this one is just so-so. Overall. I think it was a fail. Too cliche. Nothing new.

The only consolation is that there's a sequel to it. Something to do with number seven I think. And a sequel totally makes sense. Cause this one has no start has no end. It's just like reading the middle 100 pages of the whole novel. Hope the sequel will be better.

1/10.

Ah anyway. Somehow we chose to take the bus home. Which meant going to sentosa > pelangi > cs > then home. Which also meant more than one hour of standing and feeling nauseas due do the driver's crap driving skill. He totally abused the brake pedal.

We were too free and at the same time stupid. Oh Weiqing almost got pickpocketed. She felt the guy touching her handphone. Oh god. I was shocked and amazed at the same time. Sad to say today I just found out Vanessa's purse got lost. Could be the same guy. Hm wish you luck van.

And for my midnight movie. I watched LET ME IN.

Best vampire movie

A romantic horror movie released last year. Starring Chloe Moretz from 500 Days of Summer and Kickass. And Kodi Smit-McPhee. An Aussie child star. This I have to say is by far the best vampire movie I've seen. Twilight? Move over.

It's about a vampire child and a human child falling in love. And the guardian of the vampire kid kills to get blood to feed her. One day he got busted and poured acid into his face so the police coudn't recognize him and track down the girl. And the girl continued to kill to survive and his boyfriend, the human kid didn't run away from her. They stayed together and the girl helped him to fight, or rather kill the bullies. Then he helped her to leave.

Well, the plot was rather simple but I really really liked it.

It's really romantic in my opinion. The horror and romance blends perfectly. Bloody amazing. Bloody. And amazing. Well this was actually a remake of the the Swedish movie Let The Right One In. Still, I think this definitely has no crappy-second-remake feel. It's in a class of its own. Compared to I AM NUMBER FOUR (not that I care what number you are, you're not gonna die anyway cause you are the lead and no lead dies in cliche movies), this is maybe about 100 times better.

Chloe's going to be big when she grows up. Take my word for that. Hm it's funny that this is great movie but I haven't got much to say about it. Speechless perhaps? Nah I'm never speechless. Well it's a movie worth watching. Do check it out.

8.5/10
